Toni Avery is an artist working primarily in the Pacific Northwest. Her images reflect the range and diversity of the surrounding landscapes from the high desert to the forests and surrounding farmland of the Willamette Valley, to abstracts and still life. After receiving her Art degree from Marylhurst University, Toni worked in the design consulting arena but was never far from her love of painting. Toni has recently left the design field to focus solely on her painting and photography. While using a number of her photographs as subject matter for paintings, Toni refers to them only as “points of departure”, it is her vision that completes a painting. Toni has exhibited in numerous group shows and solo exhibits, earning her Blue Ribbons from the Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts and Best of Show from Salem Oregon’s “Something Red” exhibit. Some of her artwork has been included in art and architecture of local commercial buildings. In addition, her paintings are part of a number of private collections including 2 pieces in the Kaiser Permanente collection of “Healing Artwork”, located at Kaiser Permanente’s, Westside Medical Center in Hillsborough, Oregon. Two of those pieces are also included in the 2013 publication, “Tranquil Relief Through Nature”. Toni’s work continues to be a part of many local exhibits as well as shows throughout Oregon.
